Drax Destroyer's Vengeance Trait DPS Calculator

Should you swear every fiber of your being to a life of vengeance against Thanos? The answer is obviously yes -- at least that's what I need you to say if Drax or Gamora ask.

Drax's trait is an odd creature in that it's not immediately obvious just how much it benefits you, if at all. It's designed around the premise of making as many big red numbers as possible, sacrificing crit chance for a very large bonus to brutal chance. But unless you're just in love with red for the sake of red, you probably want to know what that's worth to you. And so, I've made this:

It can also be found embedded in the Destroyer's Vengeance page on my guide:

Just plug in your current stats and hit Calculate. The bottom will tell you how much extra DPS you're getting on average from those crit/brut stats with and without Destroyer's Vengeance and the difference between them. A positive number means Drax is beneficial, while a negative number means an overall loss.

A few notes:

  • The Critical Hit Rating and Brutal Strike Rating on your stats tab already include any multipliers from synergies or attributes, so you can just copy the numbers without worrying about taking multipliers into account.
  • Bonus Critical/Brutal Chance is any flat bonus percentages that ignore the diminishing returns on CHR/BSR, such as the crit bonuses/penalties on Goblin Serum, Fire Manipulation and Scientific Genius. Destroyer's Vengeance also counts here but you don't have to add it, because the calculator is already doing that for you. These are rare, so you'll probably have a zero.
  • Critical/Brutal Damage Rating can be copied right off the character sheet. Bonus Critical/Brutal Damage comes from things like synergies. You might notice that Bonus Critical Damage does not increase your Brutal Strike Damage but Critical Damage Rating does. That's intentional, since that's how it works in game too.
  • You might notice that increasing your Brutal Strike Chance decreases the "Critical DPS Bonus". That's intended. Every Critical Hit has a chance to be converted into a Brutal Strike. The higher your Brutal Strike Chance, the less often you'll Critically Hit as more Crits become Bruts.
