BEAST stolen power ?
I tried to steal Beast power on TC, but even if I had the message that says I got a new power, I did not get anything from him in my power bank. Did someone manage to steal his power ?
Is this not yet in the TC build ? @MichaelMayhem @Asros @AgentVapor @KomoriMan
I hope this is something that modify her look, it would be so awesome to have a Rogue with fur ^^
Kaecilius Mystical Healing missing
Kaecilius Mystical Healing didnt get transfered from prior to the talents patch even though it was slotted on the stolen powers tree. Is this a bug or an oversight?
Simple tip - Activating Bestial Frenzy buff without any movement power on skill bar
Beast's stolen power is activated when you use 4 movement powers in 5 seconds.
Well, you may worry about the activation since movement build is little... weaker compared to usual build.
You see, there is no movement power on my skill bar.
How did I activate Bestial Frenzy? Guess what.
I just used "R" key 4 times, which uses travel power, and the travel power is movement tagged.
There's little cooldown between each "R" key use, so in practically you should use other power between "R" key.
I'm not sure if typing "R" between your dps cycle may help your overall damage.
I think it's pretty cool buff, but not tested yet.
About the duration of "Beatial Frenzy", it is affected by power duration increasing option.
In my case, the buff lasts about 12 seconds.(originally 8 seconds)
This activation may be used in Quicksilver insignia(+3 speed when you use movement power)
or Midtown ring(+20% base damage when you use movement power)
Looking for Ranged build to work my way into raiding and CT
Still pretty new at the game by most standards and had been playing a summoner build for Rogue but I am not finding it viable at the moment to defeat CT with a summoning build. I am looking for a ranged or area build (including rotation and basic items and artis) that might help me defeat CT or get into raids or both. Not a big fan of melee builds. I've not done any raids yet so I don't have any of those powers. Thank you in advance.
[Bug] Shifting sands trait (Rogue) Stolen power
Pre-major update, this passive gave several bonuses, most significantly an additional 35% damage resistance whilst at the same time reducing max health by 50%.
Post-update this passive has been recreated as a trait doing broadly the same thing according to the description. However the trait is bugged, its not applying the additional 30% damage resistance listed - instead just setting it to 30% which is already the default. Please fix and ensure its giving EXTRA 30% damage resistance
Rogues Photograpics reflexes stolen power bugged
Today i tested the photograpics reflexes on my rogue, because, defense rating/deflect/dodge+damage are so nice.
And when i use this power( passive damge+120% damage)When I use passive, instead of increasing my damage by 120% it reduces by 120%, someone on the staff could check it out.
Rogue's Flying Brawler HERO GUIDE 2017! [updated! 2/6]
So much fun to play this build!
Now you done it Gaz
Beast says blue doesn't suit Rogue, but I think he's wrong!

Solar Strike vs Crushing Blows
Anyone managed to test the power of these 2.
In the old MH2016, solar strike was much better than crushing blows. Solar strike was AOE, had a fast innate attack speed and had +energy damage. Crushing blows is single target and +40% against elites, but unfortunately has a very slow attack speed.
In the new MH2016, crushing blows has been nerfed to that the +40% damage only affects enemies that has been drained life. With a reduced hotbar, it means you have to sacrifice 1 of rogue's many damage layers to have drain life. Doesn't that make it worse?
Right now, no one will chose crushing blows over solar strike.. Unless I'm missing something here?
Thoughts please?
Question for the rogue Vets!
Could someone who still plays and toys around with the rogue summoning build post a baseline here? Ive built the suntank and molecular spider builds, and enjoy them! but wanted to try out the summoning rogue even though some say its behind the curve due to itemization!
Skills, gear, stats.... doesnt have to be super in depth, just looking for some direction to get me started!
Much appreciated!
[Feedback Request] Rogue Feedback
Ahoy-hoy folks,
Let's start some fresh feedback(again) with the Biggest Update Ever releasing and the change to Talents & Traits:
What are your favorite powers or design aspects of Rogue? What are your least favorite? Is there a particular power that you enjoy using more than any others, or is there a unique play-style element to Rogue that makes you enjoy them more than other heroes? Are there any powers or Talents that you simply don't like or never use, and if so, why?
Do you have any suggestions that you think would make Rogue even more fun to play? The more specific you can be, the better! This can be anything from a change to an existing power, a completely new power or game play mechanic, or even cosmetic changes that you just think would look cool!
How do you currently customize your Talents and Traits on Rogue? Please be as specific as possible here; is there a particular build you prefer to use over the other options? Feel free to post a screenshot of your favorite Talents & Traits setup!
Are there any bugs that apply specifically to Rogue that you'd like to report? If there is a specific power, resource mechanic or hero-specific Unique that you have noticed not working as expected for Rogue, please let us know here.
If there's anything else you'd like to give feedback on that is not covered by the above questions, please feel free to add whatever you think we should know.
Thanks!
EMF Powerhouse, Ranged Rogue Build [Hero Guide 2017]
I've been having fun with this ranged Rogue Build.
For boss fights, lead with your signature, then laser shift if you need extra defense. Spam EMF while cycling other attacks, and pop 4 moves every couple of cycles to keep Beast happy and keep your Spirit topped up.
rouge energy build ?
hi everyone i was looking for a rouge energy build to use i was wondering if anyone had any that was good enough for the CT and raids ?
Jubilee Stolen Power
Does anyone wish that Rogue could steal the basic power instead of her cooldown power?
Rogue Power Cosmic build?
Hey all,
I know Power Cosmic isn't really the best option anymore but it looks like one character that can at least still make it work is Rogue. Anyone have any suggestions for a Rogue PC build as far as stolen moves, stolen passives, gear, artifacts, etc?
So far this is what I've got.
Artifacts: Cosmic Blessed Cargill's Cosmically Enhanced Rewrites (Hela), Blezzed Lizards Formula (Loki), Blessed Hand of Doom (Hela), and Blessed Doops Ectoplasm (Loki)
Relic: Lemuria
Uru: The Power Doop (800 defense)
Legendary: Power Cosmic
Ring: Industry City Signet (Melee)
Gear:
1. The Dust of Death
2. Kraven's Lion Vest
3. Kiss of the Viper
4. Age of Apocalypse Boots
5. Helm of Doom
Insignia: Havok
The skills I'm using so far is kinda random, just a mix of mental, energy, and physical damage.. So help here if anyone knows an actually optimal rotation would be cool.
Thanks for the help!
Rogue's Tri Build?
Hi there.
I'm currently looking for a Rogue Tri Build, but i've been unsuccessful so far.
So, as i am a bad at theory crafting, i'd like YOU to share YOUR Rogue Tri Build (with explanations if possible, so i can learn how to devise a build myself).
I lack powers from the raid bosses though; as for the artifacts, it shouldn't be a problem.
Thanks in advance.
One Spirited Gal
Imma come out and say it right off: I think Rogue should use Spirit. Despite the many conversions of characters over to new resource pools, few other words fit the spunky southern scrapper quite so well thematically. Both with and without her Marvelous powers, she is a survivor built of an unbreakable will and untamable spirit -- frequently down, but never out.
But as Spirit exists in her kit right now, it is very dated and not particularly representative of her as a character. It's a mana bar, setting an arbitrary limit on powers that are, for the most part, fairly self-limiting. DoTs don't stack with themselves. Cooldowns control big hits. The game has long since evolved past the need to throttle power usage through a universal resource. What resources have become is a flow control. When designed well, they give a texture to how the character is played, injecting small moments of downtime in sets of abilities or directing the player to a different style of play in an intuitive cycle. When handled poorly, the player runs out and goes "well what do I do now?" Veterans know the gear tricks, like spamming medkits with a 3k/100 core, but those are external to the character. They don't affect how the character plays so much as adding a separate element of required gearing system mastery.
The goal of this discussion is to brainstorm how Gaz could theoretically migrate Rogue's Spirit from being a dated mana bar to a dynamic resource that speaks to her character and is compelling to interact with from a gameplay perspective. This is a far more challenging endevour than it would be for other characters, who have a closed kit of predefined powers. I could take a character like Black Cat, say "she gains Spirit rapidly while in Stealth," and bam she has a resource loop. Rogue has close to 150 Powers and Traits that can potentially interact with, enhance and break a resource system. We've already seen how quickly people flocked to Beast's new Bestial Fury trait, consequences and hurdles be damned. Any change in the resource meta is huge.
Some notes I've been making for myself on thinking points:
- The fundamental mechanics need to work without stolen powers and traits, but may be augmented or changed by them. A new player needs to be able to pick up a fresh copy of Rogue, take their first few Marvelous Physique powers and feel like there's a natural flow to how she plays and interacts with her Spirit. If that player quickly walks through Avengers Tower, grabs 20 powers and promptly ditches their Marvelous Physique powers, it still needs to function. Obviously not every combination needs to be optimal, but the mechanics should be understandable such that the player understands why certain combinations don't work and can look for other stolen options to complement what they were going for.
Gear should not be mandatory to manage Spirit, but should still have advantages. If a player runs out of Spirit, there should be an in-kit action they can take or some mechanic/consequence that takes effect. If I blast through all my power with Electromagnetic Flux, it should not be ambiguous how I'm going to manage that. Spirit-starved should not be a gameplay dead-end. Hell, this is Rogue, who revels in bouncing back from the brink and showing up people who underestimate her. There could be a build that benefits from that!
Likewise, if a player has excess Spirit there should be means to spend and benefit from that surplus. If I take Draining Punch and it generates lots of Spirit, that should feed into other options and playstyles. Resource management should not start and stop at achieving neutrality. That's not interesting.
The mechanics should speak to her character thematically. She may be designed in this game as a sort of blank-canvas, to be built as we see fit, but in the comics she has no shortage of personality. Spirit is a very literal term for her, and not a trait she's in any short supply of. The player should feel that "never say die" fire with her in their hands, bouncing back against the odds with a mix of brutish forwardness, unchecked force of will and impulsive cunning. She is not an animal you want to corner. It's the thematic origin of her primary attributes. When you strip away all the layers of powers and memories, she is a scrapper and she is a survivor.
I want to see Rogue's resource management be fun and compelling, not something we throw gear at until it goes away. I want there to be lots of different ways to interpret it and ways to bend it to inherit behaviors from other characters. I want it to open up new power ideas on into the future with even more ways to play her. Spirit doesn't need to be the flag bearer for neglected characters, when the most versatile character in the game has the tools to show off just how diverse of a pool it can be when a character's own mechanics fully support it. That's what's been occupying my mind the last couple of days, and I figured I shouldn't be alone.
I have a lot of half-baked ideas cooking at the moment, but I thought I'd put the topic out now anyways. For now, it's little things like:
- Draining Punch is her first Basic. It shouldn't be required to play her, but it's the perfect opportunity to immediately introduce the player to her primary resource. Essentially, let it be a tutorial-by-way-of-doing. Give her this power that generates Spirit -- preferably way more than it currently does, like 2% per hit with no internal cooldown -- and pair it with a power that spends Spirit in a dynamic way. Her Marvelous Physique powers come from Captain/Ms. Marvel, so perhaps update to include an homage to her updated kit. Give Vaulting Uppercut the ability to spend X% of Rogue's Max Spirit and increase its damage by a percentage of the amount spent. Immediately introduce that this is a dynamic resource and that there will be ample ways to gain and spend it as well as benefits for gearing more into it.
An idea for rogue.
One of the problems with rogue is that it can be hard to gear her, like current gear that are best for summons usually have all INT, though not sure how that will change after the summoning changes, but alot of skills BIS arn't nescarily good for her primary stats.
So I was wondering if maybe a way to weight her primary stats around a bit, if she uses alot of summons she gets more int, more fighting style she gets more fighting/strength, or allow her to change her archetype, just a thought I was thinking.
90s version Rogue seems like the 2000's + version.
First I want to say whoever designed the costume did a really nice job it does look well done. So which every artist did this model I want you to know this isn't a complaint about the work you did.
I don't normally post threads like this about costumes. This I believe is my first thread about one. I wanted to post about this one in particular cause the title of the costume doesn't seem to fit. The hair is really what makes the model not be the 90s version though. As you go through this post you will understand.
I do understand as far as the model for character it was mentioned in one case that Marvel gives the artists an image to go off as far as what they want when representing their IP and the artist creates it and they send it in to Marvel for approval. So I'd say it's pretty safe to say this is what Marvel is happy with.
The green jacket was what I saw her most of the times in, in the cartoon. The brown was the one I saw more in the comics but they did use green as well. If we were going say cartoon look I think the green jacket is the one I would want. If I was going for the comics version than the brown jacket. Either one is fine though.
These are models from the 90s Rogue. The hair is different and the white isn't just on the bangs. The belt is square and not round. The shoulders of both green and brown jacket had Xmen logos and you normally would see the sleeves of the jacket were above the elbow.
As for the belt..The round belt I don't remember seeing in the cartoon or comics back in the 90s.. of course it could be there and I just didn't see it. I know the round belt was used later on though. The straight hair came later than the 90s.
Here's rogue Volume 3 issue #1 from 2004. Which has the same belt and straight hair.
These are 2 more 2000 Rogues.
What really makes the Rogue 90s version is the hair. Marvel kept the same costume for the most part the same as Rogue continued on but got straight hair and the white in the hair wasn't just on the front in the bangs. Basically the 90s rogue that we have is actually more of a model from the 2000s +. I really hope that we will get a model with the hairstyle that actually makes her the 90s version I love.
